The University of Hong Kong (HKU) is committed to promoting sustainable development locally and internationally; and managing its activities by engagement with relevant stakeholders to protect the environment, reduce its ecological footprint and support the transition to sustainable development.
Central Procurement (CP) of the Finance and Enterprises Office has been supporting the sustainability initiative by engaging with our suppliers or contractors to promote sustainable practices, insofar as possible, in their supply items and/or services . A Sustainability Guidance Note has been distributed along with the tender document to communicate relentlessly with HKU suppliers and contractors.
The Guidance Note aims to provide expectations and guidelines for HKU suppliers and contractors to align their operations with our environmental objectives including minimisation of environmental impact from adhering to environmental protection laws to efficient use of resources.
