Notes to the Consolidated Financial Statements 合併財務報表附註 The University of Hong Kong 香港大學 115 As at 30 June 2021, the University’s principal subsidiaries were as follows: (i) Bioworld Investment Limited The Company is incorporated in the British Virgin Islands and is limited by shares. Its principal activity is to undertake investment holding. (ii) Centennial College The College is incorporated in Hong Kong and is limited by guarantee. The College is registered as an Approved Post Secondary College under the Post Secondary Colleges Ordinance (Cap.320). It offers full time self-financed, 4-year Bachelor Degree programmes validated by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ). (iii) HKU Enterprises Limited The Company is incorporated in the British Virgin Islands and is limited by shares. Its principal activity is to undertake investment holding. (iv) HKU CyberSPACE Limited The Company is incorporated in Hong Kong and is limited by shares. Its principal activity is provision of e-education services. (v) HKU Innovation Holdings Limited The Company is incorporated in Hong Kong and is limited by guarantee. Its principal activity is to undertake investment holding. (vi) HKU School of Professional and Continuing Education The Company is incorporated in Hong Kong and is limited by guarantee. Its principal activities are to provide quality professional and continuing education programmes. (vii) HKU-Shenzhen Institute of Research and Innovation The I ns t i t u t e i s an i ns t i t u t i ona l o r gan i za t i on incorporated in The People’s Republic of China. Its principal activities are provision of commercial advisory services, management skills training, brand and business planning. (ix) HKU SPACE Qianhai Education Consulting Services (Shenzhen) Company Limited The Company is incorporated in The People’s Republic of China with limited liability. Its principal activities are provision of education information con s u l t a t i on , bu s i n e s s con s u l t i ng s e r v i c e s , management skills training, brand and corporate p l ann i ng , bus i ne s s managemen t consu l t i ng , education technology research and development, skills consulting, study abroad consulting services, corporate marketing planning, cultural exchange activity planning. (x) HKU-Zhejiang Institute of Research and Innovation The I ns t i t u t e i s an i ns t i t u t i ona l o r gan i za t i on incorporated in The People’s Republic of China. Its principal activities are to carry out research, technology transfer and provide consultancy services on technology development. (xi) Poon Kam Kai Institute of Management The Company is incorporated in Hong Kong and is limited by guarantee. Its principal activities are to provide executive education and advisory services. However, the Company had ceased trading in 2013 and has become a dormant company since then. (xii) TCM Investment Limited The Company is incorporated in the British Virgin Islands and is limited by shares. Its principal activity is to undertake investment holding. (xiii) The University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen) Limited The Company is incorporated in Hong Kong and is limited by guarantee. Its principal activity is investment holding. (viii) 港大思培（北京）諮詢有限公司 該公司為一間於中華人民共和國註冊成 立之有限責任公司，其主要業務為提供 商業諮詢服務、管理技術培訓、品牌及 企業策劃。 (ix) 前海港大思培教育諮詢（深圳）有 限公司 該公司為一間於中華人民共和國註冊成 立之有限責任公司，其主要業務為提供 教育信息諮詢、商業諮詢服務、管理技 術培訓、品牌及企業策劃、企業管理諮 詢、教育科技的技術研發、技術諮詢、 出國留學諮詢服務、企業營銷策劃及文 化交流活動策劃。 (x) 香港大學浙江科學技術研究院 該研究院為一間於中華人民共和國註冊 成立之民辦非企業單位。其主要業務為 研發、技術轉移及提供科技信息的顧問 服務。 (xi) Poon Kam Kai Institute of Management 該公司為一間於香港註冊成立之有限擔 保公司，其主要業務為提供行政管理教 育及顧問服務。但在二零一三年間，該 公司已停止其一切業務並期後成為一間 不活躍公司。 (xii) TCM Investment Limited 該公司為一間於英屬處女群島註冊成立 之股份有限公司，其主要業務為投資控 股。 (xiii) 香港大學（深圳）有限公司 該公司為一間於香港註冊成立之有限擔 保公司，其主要業務為投資控股。 39.
